The bride's wedding bouquet and wedding flowers are a very big part of the wedding day. Your Wedding flowers go in your hair, they are held by you as you walk down the isle, and they adorn the church, the doorways and the tabletops. Your wedding flowers can come in big bunches or small bunches. They can be tightly woven together with intricate details such as pearls attached to wire or tiny rosebuds peeking out from within the bouquet. Your bouquet could be loosely tied together with ribbon that criss-crosses all the way up the stems of your chosen flowers. Flowers can add the romantic element to a wedding day, they fill the room with scents that delight and entice a smile. Place some petals in big bowls of water with floating candles for a centrepiece with a touch of simple romanticism. Or wreath some flowers around a long vase filled with apples for a twist on a modern day centrepiece. Flowers can be found everywhere on a wedding day. You could choose the roses you used to pick when you were a young girl to make the room smell heavenly or you could choose the flowers your husband-to-be gave you on your very first date. The flowers you choose for your wedding day could be anything you want (within reason of course, we can be indulgent but flying flowers in from Italy may seem just a tad extreme) but to help you on your way, here are a few flowers with their meanings.
Apple Blossom: promise
Cosmos: peaceful
Geranium: comfort
Iris: inspiration
Jasmine: grace and elegance
Rose, Red & White: unity
Rose, White: purity
Tulip, Yellow: hopelessly in love
Whatever flowers you may choose for your wedding day may they fill your heart with joy.
